DTM Academy · For Parents & Schools · Grade 10–12

DTM FutureReady

The digital workplace skills every employer expects — Excel, professional communication, AI tools and data storytelling — that no school subject teaches. 8 sessions, delivered in school holidays or on Saturdays.

84% of Hiring Managers Say Graduates Aren't Workplace-Ready

Schools teach theory and coding — but not the digital tools every employer expects graduates to know: Excel, professional email, collaboration platforms, data presentation, and AI tools. Your child deserves to walk into their first job, internship, or university group project already fluent in these tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions parents, principals and teachers typically ask

Computer Applications Technology (CAT) and Information Technology (IT) are curriculum-based subjects focused on theory, programming concepts and exam preparation. FutureReady teaches the practical workplace tools that employers expect — Excel analysis, professional email, Teams collaboration, PowerPoint presentations and AI literacy. The two are complementary: CAT/IT teaches the "why," FutureReady teaches the "how" of the digital workplace.
Nothing. The school provides access to its computer lab and distributes marketing materials to parents. DTM covers all curriculum, facilitation, materials, insurance and certification costs. The school receives a venue fee of R1,500–R2,000 per cohort and one free scholarship seat.
Parents pay the fee directly to DTM Technologies. The fee is R2,500–R3,000 per learner for the full 8-session programme. Payment plans and sibling discounts are available. The school is not involved in fee collection.
Yes. Baholo holds the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) credential, which validates competence in technology-enhanced learning design — not just technical knowledge, but the ability to teach. He also holds 13 additional professional certifications and has facilitated training at Hollard Insurance, ABSA, Standard Bank, Alex Forbes, Media24 and other major corporates since 2021.
The minimum cohort size is 10 learners. If enrolment falls below this threshold, DTM will discuss options with the school: extending the registration deadline, opening enrolment to neighbouring schools, or postponing to the next holiday period. No learner or parent is left without a clear resolution.
DTM FutureReady is a non-accredited short course. Learners receive a DTM FutureReady certificate of completion, not an NQF qualification. DTM Technologies is pursuing QCTO accreditation, which will enable NQF-aligned credentials in future cohorts. Regardless of accreditation status, the practical skills learners gain are immediately applicable to school projects, university work and employment.
DTM carries Public Liability insurance covering all sessions on school premises. All learner and parent personal information is handled in compliance with POPIA and is never shared with third parties — see our Privacy Policy. Photography and video at the Showcase event requires prior written consent from parents, collected during registration.
Yes. DTM is designed to run FutureReady cohorts on a recurring basis — up to four times a year aligned with school holidays (April, June/July, September, December). After a pilot cohort, DTM and the school can agree a standing partnership for ongoing delivery.
